It's a bit hard to see the plastic, which I secured in place using low-tack spray adhesive, but you'll see it if you look closely. I marked notes directly on the plastic so there would be no misunderstanding as to what I wanted. To achieve the proper gap between the edge of the PlasDeck material and the recess, I asked that they reduce the size of each template by .125" around the perimeter of each pattern or template. As you can see in my next post about this project, the perimeter gap turned out perfectly. The most tedious part of the project was getting all the old adhesive off, but it was well worth the effort. Good luck with your project and feel free to call on me if you have more questions.Leifhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06705908180450339840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3462669320971303420.post-71240958255250972192021-04-06T08:03:31.703-07:002021-04-06T08:03:31.703-07:00I am about to embark on this very project on my Be...I am about to embark on this very project on my Beneteau 311. I am also going with PlasDeck. I have their CNC-produced templates which are slightly larger than each teak area. How did you deal with the beveled indentations into which the synthetic teak rests? Off to scrap wood and adhesive. I am using an oscillating tool.
